Hello, my name is Destynee Nelson and I am currently a senior here at Indiana State University studying social work with a minor in Psychology. Hoping one day to become a Physician’s Assistant that works with Oncology patients. I am fortunate enough to have an amazing internship through Harrison Crossing, here in Terre Haute. Through this internship I have built a connection and friendship with my clients who I work with on a daily basis.
My career path and platform was driven by my past experiences in life. At Miss ISU this year I will be representing the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society by speaking about my passion. This time last year I was gearing up for my first pageant, Miss ISU. A million thought were going through my head, and the nerves were running high. After the pageant I redirected myself and decided I loved this program. I knew I wanted to continue my passion and drive my platform through pageants. I continue to do pageants all across Indiana in hope to someday compete in Miss Indiana.
