My name is Diamond Coleman and I am a proud Senior Sycamore here at ISU. I am a Finer woman of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc. as well as my chapter’s currents philanthropy chair. I am 21 and proud to say that my years have proved exciting! Originally from Camden, New Jersey, my parents and I have moved around the U.S. many times as my father was and still is a truck driver. To date, I have moved 21 times and have visited 23 states and counting! I have been involved in community service for as long as I can remember! I had the privilege of putting together a Christmas party for impoverished children my senior year of high school, I was the sycamore service award winner for 2015 and last semester I was of recognized for community service from a committee here on ISU's campus!
My career aspiration is to be an interpreter at the United Nations. I speak English, French, 3rd year student of Arabic and I sign because one of my brothers is deaf. When I discovered that my two passions could be combined, I instantly hopped on board! My long term goal is to change the world! So, I have taken steps like advocating for my platform Mental Monsters: Mental Health Awareness. I believe that by advocating & spreading awareness for Mental Health I am bettering my community. If I can at least achieve this, it will be my first step to changing the world!
